Job Summary:

The Field Services Manager supervises multiple projects and reports directly to the General Manager in all matters regarding these projects. These projects are contracted services to utility companies for gas leak survey, utility locating and meter reading. The Field Services Manager represents Heath consultants in meetings and communications with the utility companies. They directly supervise the Project Managers.

Duties and responsibilities:

·        Enforce all company and client safety rules as well as other policies and procedures.

·        Serve the customer and exceed their expectations at every opportunity.

·        Support and help implement all company initiatives, policies, specifications, and service standards.

·        Oversee and support the field services organization in order to maintain an acceptable gross margin while providing service of the highest quality.

·        Coordinate with the Human Resources department to organize the hiring and training of Project Managers.

·        Direct the Project Managers in planning, supervising, and scheduling of operations in an efficient manner.

·        Implement and maintain personnel requirements, i.e., drug/alcohol testing, training records, supervisory contacts, and performance reviews.

·        Ensure a positive rapport and work relationship with all clients in order to maintain present clientele and promote new business.

·        Perform other duties as deemed necessary by the General Manager.

·        Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities are required.

·        Strong oral and written communication skills are required.

·        The ability to analyze and interpret data is required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

·        Supervise the Project Managers.

 Qualifications:

Education

·        High school diploma or equivalent is required.

·        Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Experience

·        Minimum of five years of utility industry experience is required.

Computer Skills

·        Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is required, specifically in Excel and Word.

·        Familiarity with OneDrive and Office 365.

Work environment:

·        This job generally operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at job sites.

Travel Requirements:

·        Must be available to travel at least 50% of the time.

Physical requirements:

·        The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
